This is a strong tango beginning in C minor with a full chordal left hand part. The melody uses a typical tango style rhythm which gives a dramatic, expressive feel to the piece. During the middle part the key changes to the relative E flat major, but retains the tango feel; towards the end the opening minor them returns to finish with unison octave arpeggios.
