This piece of music is very flowing with arpeggio patterns alternating between left hand and right hand; it begins in G minor but has subtle key changes throughout with chord progressions used to modulate into various keys. The piece is calm, yet moody in nature with the use of the key changes giving a dramatic edge to the overall style and sound. The opening melody returns towards the end in a more simpler structure with less left hand movement as the piece finishes.
