For solo flute, this piece explores the development of motivic material through contrast. It is meant to showcase a performer's chops while maintaining what I hope is an aurally interesting experience for listeners. It is meant to feel improvisatory and free, allowing for a lot of interpretation of the material on the part of the performer.
