The poet Audrey Vaughan imagines a dance of angels (or cherubim or other heavenly creatures). My setting of her poem, in Dorian mode, floats in all the alternating excitement and peacefulness of the poem.
It was originally written for girls' choir (Soprano, Mezzo and Alto with piano).
