This is a classical setting of an early Christmas Carol, a Spanish Villancico on poetry about the Nativity of Christ and the Immaculate Conception. It is a lively rhythmic famous song that would be greatly enhanced if accompanied by percussion instruments. We have included three verses and music written in full so singers don't need to flip back and forth from Refrains to Verses. The vocal setting is for three women's or girl's or treble voices: SSA. This melody has also been arranged for SSAB voices by the author

The vocal setting is for four mixed voices, a situation of many groups where there are more girls than boys, more women than men singing: SSAB (Baritone or Bass). This piece has also been arranged for SSA voices by the author.
