“James Bond Theme” has been the signature piece for the Agent 007 movies since 1962 until nowadays. The original composition was written in the popular then style of surf rock and was first used in the 1962 Bond film “Dr. No” with Sean Connery starring. Though Monty Norman is the composer of the original work, the “Dr. No” film features the arrangement of his tune made by John Barry, who later composed scores to 11 more Bond movies. This raised some controversies regarding the copyright, with Barry trying to claim having composed the theme. The original recording of the "James Bond Theme" involved guitar, saxophones and brass instruments. The theme was used in almost all James Bond films, either in the opening, or in the end credits, or as a fanfare to the famous “gun barrel sequence”. Over 70 covers of the theme were recorded.

An old-time favourite from all Bond movies, always fun to play! However, I'm as well looking forward to printing off the new song from the last movie as performed by the charming Billie Eilish, I think it's gonna be fun to play too! Moreover, the theme songs are as a rule quite easy to handle and can be mastered by any level piano student. Playing the old one and waiting for the new score!

That's a true signature theme, strongly associated with the "Bond generation", I think both elderly people and little kids would recognize it from the first notes!
