“May You Never” is a folk jazz/rock song by the singer, songwriter and guitarist from Great Britain – John Martyn. It was released both as a single (in 1971) and as the 7th track on the artist’s 6th album titled “Solid Air” (in 1973). “May You Never” can be justly called Martyn’s signature song, it is often picked by the artist for live performances, including the Folk Awards ceremony where he received an award for the lifetime achievement. In 1977, Eric Clapton, who deeply admired Martyn’s creative work, covered the song for his 5th album titled Slowhand.

It is still utmost pleasure playing John's signature song on guitar, so much soul in it! I bought this score version to compare it to my own chords that I used to play by ear years ago, and I'm glad I was not that goofy back then :)) It's a really great experience having the quality sheet music in front of you, something I didn't get a chance to appreciate before. The full vocal melody line. the perfect chords, tablature and notation itself, all seems to be in place and ready for your improvements. Well-done!
