“Venus” is one of the most popular songs of the fifties, written by Ed Marshall and Peter DeAngelis. The best-known recording of the song by right belongs to the former teen idol Frankie Avalon who released the single in 1959. The song represents a plea to the goddess of beauty and love Venus: the man is begging to send him a girl he would love. “Venus” became Frankie Avalon’s most successful hit, it reached No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 and was ranked by it ‘number four of the year’. Among other covers of “Venus” there are versions by Dickie Valentine, Barry Manilow, as well as Brad Pitt and Edward Norton’s recording for the “Fight Club”.

Has anyone tried listening to the song backwards or reverse? I believe that
Ed marshall and Peter DeAngelis were creating something more in depth
Than just a song rather a more surrealism to something that most people
Would never come close to realizing the truth that lies within. The song is a true
Masterpiece that the movie "under the silver lakes" has portrayed beautifully.

Someone please take me back to the time where I could hear Frankie live! And no, I'm a guy, not a woman. ) I do admire his fine voice, a true classic
