Written for the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra, this has an influence of the chromatic romantic style. Begins fast, has a full slow section, then back to a sort of development of the opening, back to a reprise of the slow section, and having a fanfarish F sharp major ending. Ideal for a concert opener.
