“Thy Will” is a popular song recorded by the American singer-songwriter and the former member of Lady Antebellum trio – Hillary Scott. The song was released in 2016 as part of her collaborative album “Love Remains” that was written together with the members of Hilary’s family – The Scott Family. “Thy Will”, just like the other songs in the album, is written in a unique mix of genres, incorporating Christian music, Gospel, Country, Bluegrass and Pop. This is a faith-affirming song that Hilary co-wrote with Emily Weisband and Bernie Herms, it is about the ability to accept the consequences and move on following the God’s plan. As a crossover hit, “Thy Will” became really popular on the radio stations and music charts, both in the Country and Christian genres. The 59th Grammy Awards brought it the title of the Best Contemporary Christian Song. The original key of the composition is C minor and the tempo is pretty soft – 55 BPM.

I do love performing crossovers like Thy Will, I really do. This music is nor purely religious but takes what matters most from it - the message. Of course, Hilary's recording sounds exceptional but I've tried the song on the piano as an accompaniment to my sister's vocal and we are doing pretty good so far. I believe the piece would sound as inspiring and rich on most instruments, basically. This is a truly universal piece of music to be played at various occasions in life.
