-Two pieces of polyphonic style for cello quartet.
The instrumental CORAL has a behaved character that fits the style of polyphonic vocal motet.
The melody of each instrumental voice is here thought quite vocal. However, you can also recognizes recurring motifs in the voices, for example, bar 1/2 in cello 3 and cello 4, imitated in bar 3/4 in cello 1 and 2.
These motifs appear sometimes to go together, but also imitated by itself.
-The MADRIGAL is characterized by the rhythmic motif - with eighth notes - one in size, which is imitated across all instrumental.
