Five Pulse Pieces Paul Burnell Composed 2017 The five movements may be performed separately or severally together in any order. If all movements are performed the total duration is c. 4:30 Each movement has the option of an additional pulsed drone played by a second player. Player 2 repeats the pulsed drone, shown at the bottom of each movement, continuously and in time with Player 1 until the end of the movement. The drone may begin at the same time as Player 1 or may start playing earlier as an introduction. Programme note: The Five Pulse Pieces were written in 2017. Each movement has an optional pulsed drone part that can be performed by a second player. The movements are each quite short in duration and can be performed separately or severally together in any order. If performed in the order presented in the score the movement tempo markings are: I - Allegretto II - Andante spinato III - Adagietto IV - Allegro V - Andante con moto
