The Tasmanian tiger is considered extinct by most, though some still believe it exists somewhere in the Tasmanian wilderness. It was an apex predator until it was killed out by humans. This piece represents the aloofness of the tiger, its position at the top of the food chain, the vast wilderness, and the possibility of its continued survival.
