In the early 1900's classical themes given a ragtime feel became very popular. Although this title wasn't as successful as his earlier Russian Rag, George L Cobb again gave a well loved classical piece by Grieg, the Ragtime treatment. It was also recorded by the Six Brown Brothers as a Saxophone Sextet.

In the early 1900's as Ragtime music became more popular, composers would often look for inspiration from famous classical themes. Here, George L Cobb has once again turned to the music of Grieg. In 1919 a Saxophone Sextet version was recorded by The Six Brown Brothers.
