The Concerto for trombone and string orchestra was written in 2012. The combination of the timbre of the brass wind instrument and the stringed band helped to enhance the contrast between the soloist and the orchestra. Dramatic narrative first part and fiercely assertive second lead us to the culmination of the third part, the semantic center of which is the cadence of the trombone.
