Piece for solo harp. It is a constant monophonic melody, without chords. The interval jumps cause a type of pseudo-polyphonyc structure. The difficulty during playing could be, that the melody is constantly irregular, there are no repeats or easy memorisable sections. In general it is probably not very much harp-alike. At the same time it is very simple, no rhytmic complexity and no pedal changes, as the tonality remains always the same. It is a sort of an endless melody, that should be played fluently, not mechanically, with sence for small variations in tempo. The title "Aeolia" is associated with aeolian harp, as well as with the swimming isle Aiolia from the greek mythology, the residence of the god of winds. The piece is also composed in the aeolian mode.
