Wildly different treatments of six hymn tunes and carols - a complete organ accompaniment for the Gaelic tune "Bunessan" (four verses with an introduction and a modulating interlude), a four-part reharmonization of "Ellesdie," the gospel hymn "Jesus Saves" in evangelistic piano style, a strict double canon on the "Old Hundredth," a meditation on "Silent Night" for treble instrument in C with organ or keyboard accompaniment, and an adventurous reharmonization of "Veni Emanuel."
