Gypsy tango for String Trio, Copyright © 2002 by Gary A. Edwards evokes the wild, romantic and carefree life of the Roma. Picture yourself at night in front of a crackling wood fire in the fresh air. Behind you the wagon is sitting patiently waiting, while the cart horses whinny. A gypsy violinist plays a haunting melody, with passion and fire, while a beautiful girl dances and whirls around the campfire.

This song from the musical revue Karaoke Nights sung beautifully by Timari starts with a beautiful string trio playing a classical style tango, then switches into a rock beat vocal version about 18 seconds into the song. This version is all English but there is also a mixed English/Spanish language version as shown in the following lyrics.
The Gypsy Tango for Soprano
(Intro - instrumental)
Dance,
Watch the Gypsy dance.
Makes me feel entranced, by his glance, full of fire.
Oh, what a passionate
Fire,
In his Gypsy eyes,
Makes me want to cry, want to die, in his glow.
Baila,
mira bailar el Gitano.
Cuando mueve me encanta,
la mirada
de fuego.
¡Que apasionados
ojos de fuego!
Quiero llorar,
y morir
en sus brazos.
Wouldn’t it be very grand,
Joining his Gypsy band,
dancing across the land,
for a coin or two?
I want to be bold,
have a Gypsy soul.
Have him to hold,
me in his arms.
(Instrumental interlude)
Love, is what I want,
Is what I need, to complete, my destiny.
Time is not my friend,
why must it be my enemy?
Amar es vivir.
Es completar el sino de mi ser.
Vivir
memorias,
retratos de polvo
para el vejez.
Dawn.
Now’s the time for me to choose.
Do I stay or go?
Do I win or lose?
Fate.
What does fate have in store for me?
What should I be?
Will I see any rest?
Will the melody,
of the Tango stay with me, for the rest of my life?

Picture yourself at a Gypsy Camp surrounded by Gypsy wagons as you listen to the music and fall in love with the performer. In the morning you face the dilemma of having to choose between going back to your mundane clerical job or traveling on with the gypsy band.
