It is a serial work written for violin and cello. In this work tone rows are systematically placed so that retrograde forms run against each other in each part. The tone rows of the violin and the cello are presented in opposite to each other. For example, the violin starts with tone-row P-1 and at the same time the cello starts with the tone row in R-1 and moves its melodic line contrapuntally with the violin part. Although the work is composed with serial techniques the music is still expressive in character.
