Al Hanisim (The Miracles) is a prayer said during the Feast of Chanukkah (Hanukkah) and has been set to music in many ways over the years. This setting is for an exuberant (quasi-Klezmer) clarinet solo and a thoughtful but happy alto voice accompanied by an orchestra comprising violins, violas, cellos, double bass, drum and tambourine.
The sound sample here is a performance by the composer singing to an electronic version of the orchestral accompaniment.
