Taking the rhythms of Ogden Nash's funny poem about Isabel remaining chiffle (cheerful) in spite of her sniffle I created an instrumental piece for two recorders and guitar. The recorder players (and guitarist) are invited to sniff at appropriate points to enhance the effect.
A vocal version using the poem itself (2 altos and guitar), which I have recorded but not put online, will not be published, but anyone who possesses the relevant book of Ogden Nash's poems will be able to follow the musical logic of this setting of "The Sniffle".
