The Who's classic song about 'that deaf, dumb and blind kid' as featured in the rock opera Tommy. Bring back memories of Elton John's outlandish costume in the film of the same name by trying this now!
“Pinball Wizard” is a power pop / hard rock song by the popular rock band from England – The Who. The song was written by the band’s lead guitarist, English songwriter and musician Pete Townshend who wrote over 100 compositions during the 50 years of his music career in The Who. “Pinball Wizard” was released as a single in 1969, as well as a track on the band’s 4th album “Tommy”. The song got into the music Tops of both US and UK and became the most famous composition to be performed live by The Who. The most popular cover of the song was recorded and released as a single by the English singer and pianist Sir Elton John. It was released in 1975 for the movie adaptation of “Tommy” by Ken Russell. Elton John’s version is more centred on the piano part and features additional lyrics by Townshend. It was the only The Who cover to ever reach the Top 10.
