Aren't the harmonies in Sailing sublime? Although I grew up listening to the original hit by Christopher Cross, I do see the NSYNC cover as a kiss-ass version of this amazing composition. The composer would have approved of it, I'm sure. This is a true schooltime hit that can make anyone long for the carefree summer nights of the 80s (even if you didn't live in that time)! The lyrics are so simple yet beautiful, even for someone who's normally not a follower of a boys band (me!). But most importantly, pianists like myself would enjoy playing with the solo score of the song. There is so much fun and pleasure improvising with the instrumental piece!
