"Go Tell It on the Mountain" is an African-American spiritual song, compiled by John Wesley Work Jr., dating back to at least 1865, that has been sung and recorded by many gospel and secular performers. It is considered a Christmas carol.
The present arrangement contains a semi-improvised section with solos for each instrument. It ends in changing the rhythm into a waltz. Lots of fun playing it!

This arrangement for clarinet quartet includes a jazz-styled variation section where each instrument gets its solo. The third clarinet may be replaced by an alto-clarinet or a basset-horn.
