Complete score of the "Brandenburg Concerto No.5 in D major BWV 1050" for Piano solo. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach before 1721 for a transverse flute, a principal violin, a violin and a viola in ripieni, violoncello, violone and concerted harpsichord. Transcribed for Piano in Rome in 2023 by Santino Cara.
3 Movements: 1. Allegro, 2. Affettuoso (B minor), 3. Allegro (D major).
Sources and annotations:
The six Brandenburg concerts were presented by Bach in 1721 in a collection for Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt and dedicated to him.
It is therefore assumed that they were composed before that.
